CO2Strip™
CO2Strip is the first step in creating pipeline-grade methane out of a waste stream. The system conditions a waste stream for multiple contaminants at once; namely carbon dioxide, sulfur and siloxanes by chilling and flashing the gas with recovered water.
Features:
- Can intake gas at high pressure.
- Single pass tall vessel with a short recovery vessel.
- Removes carbon dioxide, sulfur and siloxanes from gas stream.
- Treatment process consists of chilling and spraying with H2O.
Advantages:
- Conditions biogas for multiple contaminants with one process.
- Can combine with a liquefier to convert biogas to LNG, a possible diesel replacement.
- Biogas is conditioned to a point where it can be fed directly into a turbine without additional processing.
- No supplementary instrumentation is needed for moisture removal.
- Post gas drier for pipeline-grade gas is included.
- More experience on digesters than anyone.
- 10 systems in operation.
Requirements for usage:
- Allow 18-24 weeks for delivery.
- This system requires gas to enter at 135 psi, so a compressor upstream of the system is included.
- Capital expenditure is similar to other carbon dioxide removal technologies, but with a lower operating cost.
