SulfrStrip™
SulfrStrip is an economical proven sulfur removal technology that uses a chelated iron chemical scrubbing system to remove hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and recover it as elemental sulfur. SulfrStrip is ideal for gas flows with high sulfur and low scfm. In sensitive system applications, SulfrPack can remove any remaining sulfur.
Features:
- Similar technology is used on sour gas.
- Lower media cost than SulfrPackST.
- Vessels are taller and narrower than those of the comparable SulfrPack CIS system.
- Can remove 30 to 60 percent of total weight as sulfur.
- Less contact time than media.
Advantages:
- Sulfur removed at a low cost per pound.
- Compared to SulfrPack ST and SulfrPack CIS, SulfrStrip requires higher capital expenditure but requires lower operating expenditure.
- Elemental sulfur waste product can be resold. (Sulfur cake is approximately 95 percent pure sulfur; current price is about $.50/lb.)
- Ideal for low-flow and high-concentration or lowconcentration and high-flow gases.
Requirements for usage:
- Regular monitoring by trained staff.
- Additional H2O2 tanks; may require safety plan or additional regulatory considerations.
- Allow 18-24 weeks for delivery.
